Welcome to Lynda's garden! We met through a mutual friend - she has garden space and I have plants and time, so it was an instant friendship. Click on any of the photos to get to a larger image.
August and September 2010
August 26/2010: There were some old red bricks stacked up in Lynda's garage - we used them to support the raised beds.
August 26/2010: Have started to move plants over from the old garden... so far we have some rosemary, thymes and lavender.
August 26/2010: The view from Lynda's patio.
September 24/2010: All planted! We got some bags of gravel to fill in the path, but it's not nearly enough.
September 24/2010: A thyme, monkey puzzle tree, and sage.
September 24/2010: Hens and chicks. This mug had a hairline crack which caused it to leak and be useless as a mug, so I smashed out the bottom and turned it into a planter. The mug is made by a local artist who signs his/her pieces with a single "B". We like B's work because he/she manages to get such pretty blue colours in the glaze!
September 24/2010: Purple sage in its new home.
September 24/2010: The strawberries are still putting out fruit, even after transplanting, even in the cold.
September 24/2010: We planted some baby walking onions - this one didn't get properly burried, but it figured out which way was up.
