March and April 2011
March 26/2011: Mia lucked out and got a garden plot! Even better, she inherited some awesome plants: a bay, thyme, sage, lavender, chives...
March 26/2011: In front are some nice kales. They were later ripped out and cooked into a delicious soup.
March 26/2011: A better view of the sage, chives, and thyme.
April 3/2011: Some work has been done! Gave away the lavender and half the sage to my neighbour. Moved the thyme and the rest of the sage. Built up the fat end of the triangle, which will be the 'moist' side of the garden - the pointy side of the triangle will be the 'dry' side of the garden. Also picked up some new plants - oregano and tarragon and hens-and-chicks for the dry side.
April 3/2011: I saw this in someone else's plot - it looks like the love-child of a Red Russian Kale crossed with a Curly Kale. I am in love with its fractal pattern!
