April 3/2011: A balcony composter - a gift from a friend who used to live in an apartment. Since the compost gets mostly kitchen scraps, it tends to be quite wet - so we've added some moss to absorb some of the water.
April 3/2011: A spectacular mold growing off a chunk of lemon peel! This is the result of a compost that is wet with kitchen scraps.

April 3/2011: A red-wiggler! I find one or two of these every time I mix up the compost. I find many, many more little baby worms, which makes me happy.
April 3/2011: One of the balcony plants (the stevia) did not survive the winter, so I added the soil to the composter.
